Fossil Ivory
As a designer I delight in discovering “sought and found” elements such as the fossil ivory in this brooch. These pieces help tell a story both ancient and mysterious.
Fossil Walrus ivory washes up on the Artic Coasts of Alaska and St. Lawrence Island. Fossil Woolly Mammoth ivory has been buried since the Ice Age for more than 10,000 years. It is a lustrous, natural ivory which works beautifully with sterling silver, coral and other natural elements in these one of a kind art jewelry pieces.
